Home remedy for sarcoptic mange?
Due to major illnes of family member, I am very short of spendable cash. My dog was seen by vet and has this type of mange. I purchased first bottle of medicine, but he needs more treatment and medicine is expensive. The ONLY active ingredient is sulpher so I am hoping someone may know of a tried and true home remedy that might work. Thank You in advance.
Honestly if you try another medication and it doesn’t work then the mange will come back just as bad and you will need to repeat the first treatment over again until the mange is completely cleared up. It will save you money in the long run if you continue with the proper treatment, also ask your vet if they have payment plans or other options for you. Best of luck!

Sarcoptic mange is serious and really needs to be treated by a vet to be safe. If left untreated the situation can get bad enough that treatment takes longer and costs more than if you just get it done right to begin with.
I can sympathize with being low on cash, but unfortunately sarcoptic mange is not something to mess around with.

The ONLY remedy is the Yellow pages…look under "V" for veterinarian care.
If that is not possible…look under "A" for animal cruelty since the dog is suffering and you are not providing proper care.
There are NO excuses for an owner to not completely provide veterinarian care for mange disease on a dog.

There is no home remedy. You also need to treat all dogs in the house as it is contagious. It’s also contagious to humans. If you don;t treat it until it’s completely cleared up you will have a huge problem on your hands.
Ask your vet if he will take payments or put the cost of medication on a credit card. Maybe see if someone can lend you the money if all else fails.
