mange in dogs?
Hi my six month old golden retriever was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange 2 weeks ago and it is beeing treated and he is allready a lot better. We think that the mange was transmitted by another dog. Our vet has given us something called revolution, and it is a liquid you drip on its neck every fe months. Has anyone got experience with this if so please tell me. thanks Kata

I had a German Shepard years ago who had mange. A friend/veterinarian told me to put fresh chopped garlic in her food daily for a few weeks. When the mange went away, I spread lime on the yard to keep the parasites down. My dog never had mange again.

There is no spoon.
I thought that my dog had mange and we used Advantage and it cleared it up. Also another friend of mine used Stonghold and this cleared hers up..
It took a few weeks to work, but did clear it up…

Mange is sometimes heriditary and lays dormant in the dog until something stressful happens and then the mange parasite will attack. It is transferred from the mother to the puppy through the mother’s milk. Most mange meds will correct the problem temporarily but chances are it will resurface when the dog is stressed again. This is also a parasite that is passed on from generation to generation so it is advised not to breed you dog.
